From October 7 to 9, 2025, the University of Campinas (Unicamp) hosted representatives from Masaryk University (Czech Republic): Jitka Wolfová, Head of the Research and Project Support Office, and Jitka Hotárková, Project Administrator, both from the institution's School of Social Studies. The visit aimed to deepen the exchange of experiences in research project management and foster future institutional partnerships.
On the morning of the 7th, they participated in an institutional meeting at the Executive Directorate of International Relations (DERI), where they were presented with information on resource allocation and the process for supporting calls for proposals and research projects. In the afternoon, the visitors learned about DERI's various departments, including events, administration, partnerships, and international mobility.
On the second day, the program included an activity of job shadowing at the Institute of Economics, led by Camila Ventura, from the institute's Grant Office. The practice of job shadowing It consists of closely following the work of a professional or team to understand their routines, methods and processes, functioning as an observational and learning immersion.
In the afternoon, Masaryk University representatives participated in a discussion group at Educorp, focused on exchanging experiences on university management and internationalization, with space for presentations, discussions, and questions. The meeting provided a platform for discussion on best practices and common challenges facing universities in the global context.
The last day was dedicated to a technical visit to the Institute of Philosophy and Human Sciences (IFCH), followed by an institutional meeting at the Pro-Rector's Office for Research (PRP), where the current research scenario at Unicamp and the structure of the Grant Office responsible for supporting the academic community in projects and calls for proposals were discussed.
Unicamp and Masaryk University already have a current cooperation agreement, which provides a solid foundation for strengthening academic exchange between the two institutions. The visit by representatives from the Czech university opened new perspectives for expanding student mobility opportunities, especially in undergraduate and graduate programs. Furthermore, proposals emerged for promoting academic mobility for faculty and researchers, developing collaborative projects, and exchanging best practices in university management and research, further strengthening ties between the two institutions.
