On July 4th, Unicamp's Executive Directorate of International Relations (DERI) received a visit from representatives of the University of Stellenbosch, South Africa. Present were Sarah van der Westhuizen, director of the Center for Global Engagement, and Kirwan Adams, coordinator of Multilateral Collaboration and Information Management. The delegation was welcomed at DERI headquarters by Heloisa Claro, international relations advisor, and Pedro Renato de Moraes Oliveira, international cooperation assistant.

The meeting was also attended by Unicamp professors: Ariovaldo José da Silva, director of the Faculty of Agricultural Engineering (FEAGRI); Betânia Campello, professor at the Faculty of Applied Sciences (FCA); Lucas Rios do Amaral, professor at FEAGRI; and Maurício Rostagno, professor at FCA.

The meeting's main objective was to discuss the renewal of the cooperation agreement signed between the institutions in 2014, as well as to explore new possibilities for academic and scientific collaboration. Among the initiatives under consideration are semester-long mobility programs for students and staff, summer courses, and research internships. The proposal is to strengthen exchanges between the universities and expand internationalization opportunities for both academic communities.
