On May 15, Unicamp, through the Executive Directorate of International Relations (DERI), received a visit from representatives of the Consulate General of the United States in São Paulo. The meeting was attended by Spencer King, vice-consul for economic affairs, and Tiago Santos, advisor for economic affairs.
The main objective of the visit was to promote dialogue on research in the automotive and energy sectors in Brazil, with an emphasis on topics such as electric vehicles, battery technologies and power generation. The meeting sought to identify possibilities for cooperation between Unicamp and North American institutions, expanding opportunities for scientific and technological collaboration.
Representing Unicamp at the meeting were: Ana Maria Frattini Fileti, Vice-Rector of Research; Rafael Dias, Director of International Relations; Renato Lopes, Director of the Unicamp Innovation Agency (Inova); Luis Carlos Pereira da Silva, Coordinator of the Sustainable Campus; Roberto Donato, Coordinator of the International Hub for Sustainable Development (HIDS); Mário Ramos, from the Interdisciplinary Center for Energy Planning (NIPE); Flávia Consoni, Professor at the Institute of Geosciences (IG); and Angélica Torresin, Coordinator of International Cooperation at DERI.
