On April 30, the Executive Board of International Relations (DERI) of Unicamp received Prof. Dr. Juan Antonio Vallés, Vice-Director of Internationalization and Mobility Programs of the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Zaragoza, in Spain. The visit had the main objective of strengthening ties between the two institutions and exploring possibilities for academic and scientific collaboration.

During the meeting, which took place at DERI's office, Prof. Dr. Osvaldir Pereira Taranto, chief of staff, and Renato Oliveira, international cooperation assistant, were present. The representatives discussed proposals for student mobility and the creation of dual degree programs (co-supervision) at the postgraduate level, with emphasis on the areas of Physics, Chemistry and Geosciences.

Prof. Dr. Vallés gave an overview of the University of Zaragoza, which currently offers 54 undergraduate programs, 63 master’s programs and 45 doctoral programs. The conversation reinforced the mutual interest in promoting internationalization and expanding opportunities for students and researchers at both institutions.
